Caravan Cooler Box

Below are some pictures of our personal caravan cool box not as good as an Electrolux caravan fridge but great for camping it's a Mobicool that we bought at an Austrian electrical and white goods supermarket in Dornbirn more or less on the banks of Lake Constance

(it's where some of the James Bond Casino Royal I think was filmed) you will see it has melted on the end of the cigarette plug in (see last picture) and has now stopped working.

​We managed to keep it going to the end of last years holiday by cutting bits off periodically but now I am going to try and replace the plug and hope it's working again as it's 4 years old and a great little caravan cooler box that still works perfect on 240 volt hook up, and will be working on 12 volt again as soon as I replace the cigarette plug as it's melted a bit.

(See picture) it happened on those long autobahn drives between destinations, as I say our caravan cooler box will be good as new ready for our next adventure.

​Update I cut the cable and used a electrical connector block to connect a plug I cut off from an old phone charger and bingo our trusty caravan electric cool box is back on the road and ready for another trip around Europe. 

On this years adventure went to Spain as we have missed it out in previous years simply because we have been there so many times on package holidays going back longer than I care to remember.

​The drive down through the Spanish countryside was great and scorching hot so the ice box cooler came into its own, I say country side as on all our touring holidays I set the sat nav for no motorways or toll roads that way we see magnificent scenery you never come across any other way, 

Fair enough it takes a few hours longer but believe me it is well worth it and the caravan cool box is great when we stop at places like little pull ins next to roadside fresh fruit and veg stalls who sell what they have picked that day and the taste reminds me when I used to grow my own (sadly I do not have the time any more)
